Terms of Service

By creating a Tengapo wallet or using the Tengapo platform in any capacity, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you disagree with any part, do not use Tengapo.

Tengapo wallets are available exclusively to residents of African nations as verified by our geo-detection system. Senders (those sending money to wallets) may be located anywhere in the world and do not require an account.

• ✦You must be at least 18 years of age to create a wallet
• ✦You must be physically present and resident in an African nation
• ✦You must provide accurate personal information during registration
• ✦One wallet per person — multiple accounts are not permitted

You may not use Tengapo for any of the following purposes:

• ✦Money laundering, fraud, or any form of financial crime
• ✦Circumventing geo-restrictions using VPNs or proxy services
• ✦Creating accounts on behalf of another person without their consent
• ✦Sending or receiving proceeds of illegal activity
• ✦Harassment, abuse, or harm to other users
• ✦Automated or bot-driven transactions without prior written consent

Tengapo charges a platform fee on send transactions: 5% of the send amount plus a flat fee based on amount bracket. All fees are disclosed before transaction confirmation. Fees are non-refundable once a transaction is processed.

Tengapo wallet balances are held in trust on your behalf. Balances are denominated in ZMW (Zambian Kwacha). Tengapo does not pay interest on wallet balances. Tengapo reserves the right to freeze balances suspected of being involved in fraudulent activity pending investigation.

Tengapo reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account found to be in violation of these Terms, at our sole discretion. In the event of termination, we will make reasonable efforts to return any remaining Available Balance via withdrawal, subject to identity verification.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tengapo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 90 days preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of Tengapo after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
